Central NSW Councils (Centroc) have undertaken a major program involving fourteen Councils in the Central NSW region to increase energy efficiency at water and waste water pump stations.

The Centroc Nexus Between Water and Energy program is an innovative project to increase energy efficiency at 30 sites across the Local Government Areas of Forbes, Blayney, Bathurst, Boorowa, Cabonne, Cowra, Lithgow, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Upper Lachlan, Weddin, Young and Harden.

The Program aims to deliver substantial energy savings while introducing advice and measures for member Councils to embed ongoing activity in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
This activity received funding from the Australian Government.
