Central NSW Councils (Centroc) represents over 236,000 people covering an area of more than 70,000sq kms comprising the Local Government Areas of Bathurst, Blayney, Boorowa, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Harden, Lachlan, Lithgow, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Upper Lachlan, Weddin , Wellington, Young and Central Tablelands Water.


Centroc exists to advocate and improve operational efficiencies for its members.

Live Issues

Centroc's Live Issues page is regularly updated with issues that arise from communities in Central NSW. A current major concern is Telecommunications, including broadband, digital TV and mobile reception in the region. Advocacy

Centroc advocates on agreed regional positions and priorities while working co-operatively to benefit the councils and communities of Central NSW. Using Centroc's regional strength and leadership in advocacy Centroc lobbies State and Federal Governments to present a more compelling case for regional priorities which are:

Atmospheric CO2 data

 

Did you know that atmospheric CO2 was 364 parts per million (ppm) during the Earth Summit in June 1992? In the past decade, atmospheric CO2 has been rising about 1.9 ppm per year. This is the fastest rate since scientists started using high-precision instruments to take CO2 measurements directly from the Earth's atmosphere.
